Built in 1827 originally as a private residence then latterly converted into a hotel around 100 years ago, the Plockton Hotel stands as the only water front hotel in the enchanting West Higland village of Plockton. Located only 5 miles from Kyle of Lochalsh with the new road bridge that links to the Isle of Skye, the araea boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery that Scotland has to offer. The small loch side hamlet of Plockton, with its famous Palm Trees and row of delightful cottages is a haven for artists, some of which travel from far a field to try to capture on canvas the magic of the area.  Located in an enviable position on the shores of Loch Carron, this magnificent hotel has been operating under the same ownership for the last 17 years and has only had 4 owners since 1913. Since taking over the reins, our clients have invested heavily in the business purchasing the adjacent building and extended the property to the rear. The hotel has only recently benefited from an extensive refurbishment programme which has seen upgrading to all of the 11 en-suite rooms in the main hotel, public rooms, & gardens. The annex cottage housing 4 extra letting rooms has also seen upgrading to each of the bedrooms. This highly successful business derives a large proportion of the trading income from food sales accounting for around 40% of turnover. Serving only the freshest of sea food and locally reared beef, the Plockton Hotel has been recognised for the high quality of cuisine on offer. With such awards as Scottish Bar Food Award 2007 by Hotel Review Scotland, Scottish Restaurant of the year 2005 & 2006 in the Good Pub Guide plus the AA Best Seafood Pub award in 2002.  While an impressive level of corporate, tourist, sporting & local trade is currently enjoyed at the hotel, our clients advise now that strong foundations have been laid for new owners to build, the business is set to continue growing over the coming years. With a high number of future bookings already in place for 2008, the Plockton Hotel represents an outstanding opportunity for an existing operator or a larger group to enjoy all the commercial & personal benefits, which flow from the operation of a highly successful highland hotel.
