The Fleece Bar & Restaurant is located in The Royal & Ancient Burgh of Selkirk, and enjoys a commanding position on the market square in the centre of town. Steeped in history and surrounded by many famous Abbeys the borders town of Selkirk holds many commemorative events in the market square, which is overlooked by The Fleece Bar. One of the most popular is the Common Ridding during the second week in June when the town’s boundaries or ‘ marches’ are ridden. The traditional Ettrick bar with separate entrance has proven to be popular with locals and visitors to the area, which has helped result in a healthy barrage figure of around 200 barrels per year. Only recently the Fleece has benefited from a modernisation programme carried out to the Ettrick Bistro giving 45 covers & modern style corner bar. With tasteful wall colours, lighting and wooden flooring the restaurant offers diners a welcoming & relaxing atmosphere for a pleasant meal.
